The latest funding will enable works to plan the next step in this project, including upgrading the visitor facility, refurbish the Goods Shed, and rehabilitate the Mullum Wetlands.

Open to community organisations and local governments, grants between $2,500 and $20,000 are available for community projects.  

I encourage not-for-profit community organisations across Indi to consider putting in an expression of interest.   

Local sport is a really important part of regional towns and fundraising alone isn’t enough to provide the infrastructure upgrades that clubs need to provide their community with safe and accessible facilities.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to support the work of local community organisations to increase participation in volunteering and enable the inclusion of vulnerable people.  

The cost of housing is causing significant stress on households in Indi, whether they are paying their mortgage or rent – and part of the reason for that is that we don’t have enough housing.

Every day we wait is another day that we deny protection to people who put themselves at enormous risk to expose the truth.

Regional Australia experiences the housing crisis differently to the cities, but we’re competing for the same pool of funding.

The Government’s proposed electoral reforms represent a fundamental change to the way our democracy functions. It is crucial that these changes are properly scrutinised, and not rushed through in the dying days of this term of Parliament. 

The federal government needs to do better, because what I hear time and time again is that telecommunications aren’t up to scratch in regional, rural and remote Australia.
