Independent Federal Member for Indi Helen Haines is inviting Expressions of Interest for Round 9 of the Indi Stronger Communities Programme.

Open to community organisations and local governments, grants between $2,500 and $20,000 are available for community projects.

“Each year, the dedication and commitment of many local organisations to building a thriving community is recognised with funding to boost their local projects,” Dr Haines said.

“Priority areas of focus for Round 9 of the programme include boosting tourism, supporting our veterans, people with disabilities and upgrading medical and sporting facilities.

Previous programme rounds have funded projects such as kitchen upgrades at the Euroa Citizens Band, refurbishments at the Bonegilla Hall, and the installation of shade sails at Tangambalanga Active Park.

“Seeing these projects brought to reality, and the lasting benefits experienced by our communities has been an extraordinary highlight of being Indi’s Independent MP.”

A panel comprised of representatives of local governments and community groups will assess the Expressions of Interest, prior to successful proponents being invited to make applications to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.

More information and to submit an Expressions of Interest, please visit helenhaines.org/grants.

Expressions of Interest must be received by 5pm on Thursday 13 February 2025.
